Smoking Metal Pipes

If your a pipe smoker and you want the best smoking experience then I suggest you try a metal pipe.
Metal pipes with screw in wood bowls are a lot more enjoyable than straight briar pipes. They have a lower bowl under the briar that catches all the tar and moisture, andthis results in no bite. Its a much more effective solution then stem filters, and makes for a very enjoyable smoke.
They are also very easy to clean. After smoking wait for the pipe to cool and unscrew the bowl. A Q-tip will easily clean out the moisture and debris from the lower bowl. The stem can be cleaned with a pipe cleaner by entering the stem from the bowl side. I like to clean my pipes with unflavored brandy.
*Note: Bite tips are usually very hard to remove. To make them gee off easier, place the pipe minus the bowl in the freezer for a few hours. The tip will then loosen and be able to be removed.
There are many different makers of metal pipes: Falcon, Dr. Grabow, Yello-bole, Twin flow, Kaywoodie as well asmany others. Falcon pipes still produces metal pipes, and is the initial creator of the design. The Grabow Viking went out of production after they lost their lawsuit with Falcon.
*Note: Not all pipe brands have bowls that are interchangable do to bowl size differences and thread types. Falcon Pipes have a bowl with 4 threads and screw on and off with just a quarter turn of the bowl. Dr. Grabow Vikings have one continuous thread and must be unscrewed by turning a few times.

1.Falcon bent: that I absolutely love, and has begee my everyday smoker.2.(2)Dr. Grabow Viking 2: one straight, and the other bent. 3.Yellow Bole Aristocrat-Airograte bent: one of the most attractive pipes with a unique bowl. Wood bowl is a cylinder and there is a perforated grate that makes up the bottom of the bowl. 4.Kool Smoke straight: Gold/Brass chrome plating make this pipe a real looker. 5.Dr. Grabow Viking 1 Straight: most of the gold/brass chrome is worn off but still a great smoker. 6.Sterling straight: Very unique in that it also can utilize a filter cartridge.
