How to Pack Books for Shipping
Ever wonder how to ship a book ? Here is a quick guide. Most books can be shipped in a standard "Padded envelope" These are available at most office supply stores, such as Office Max or Office Depot. If you are selling a small paperback, typical size 4" by 7". These can go in a small manila envelope. All books should ship in a plastic bag of some type. You could use a used grocery bag, it works quite well. This will protect the book in case the envelope gets wet. This happens more often then you think. All large hardcover books, especially if they are valued over 10.00, and Fragile or antique books, should ship in a box. This does not mean just throw them in a box and ship it out. The box should be large enough to pad it so the cover and edges are protected. Newspaper wadded up, works quite well. Bottom line, use good judgement. Take a few extra minutes on packing your sold book, and you might find you have a repeat customer !I hope this helps. If it does, please vote for my guide, Thank You
