Made-to-order Salwar Kameez--3 best stores!!!

Iam a plus size person who doesn't conform to American sizing. The way I ended up with beautiful clothes that are made to fit me--I bought salwar kameez (traditional Indian pant suit witha scarf called a dupatta). The followingthree stores are the only stores I regemend for fantastic customer service, tailoring, fit, and price.
Thebest stores to purchase made-to-order salwar kameez from are: LADIES DEN, SIMPLY-DIVA,and INDIANARTCART. Thesestores have never made a mistake with my measurements and the customer service provided by Jaswinder, Alka, and Akashisfantastic.Best of allthey arewashable. You just wash them in cold water and hang to dry! Top loaders, turn inside out and place in garment bag. Front loaders, turn inside out--no need for garment bag.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Here is the best way to make sure your outfit fits perfectly
Shoulders: place a gefortable shirt, that fits you perfectly, flat on a surface and measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. This will be your finished measure for your shoulders.
Bust: measurement around breasts with 3 or 4 inches added. (I prefer 4 inches, loose yet fitting and you can move easily without pulling seams.) If yourbone structure is small (dainty), you might want to try adding only three inches.
Waist: around your middle 3 or 4 inches. Make sure you don't try to hold in your stomach--unless you're really able to do it all day.
Hips: around the largest part of you butt and front 3 or 4 inches. Most of my weight is in my stomach area so when I made my measurements for my hips, I sat on the measuring tape and brought it around to the front of my groin/stomach area. This way I made sure when I sat down thekameez still fit and the seams didn't pull. Again, make sure you don't try to hold in your stomach.
Armhole: measure under the under arm up to the tip of your shoulder before it drops down to the arm. Add 2.5 inches for ease of movement.
Sleeves: 1" above elbow for short, middle of forearm for3/4, and 1/2" to 1" below wrist joint for long. Make sure you add 2 1/2inches to your bicep measurement. I usually also include the body measurement of the largest part of your upper arm and that I am a plus size person in the gement area of measurement forms so the tailors will know how wide to make the sleeve. If you are a 3 size, the sleeve length will be determined by the amount of cloth. They will let you know if it is an issue.
Kameez length: Top of your shoulder to where you want the top to stop. I prefer longer (3" or 4" below my knee) because it drapes over my belly area better--it also feels more feminine when youwear it.
Salwar length: from your waist to the floor without shoes on, this way when youwear shoesthey will drape correctly. I wear pumps so I added 1" on top of the floor measurement--they hang perfectly. I also prefer theregular salwar--the traditional look--for my salwars. They are roomy and gefortable and narrow in an angle toward the bottom cuff.
You can also choose parallel (regular western pants); chooridaar (baggy legging look piled on ankle up to top of calf--very form fitting on the bottom of salwar). If you choose the chooridaarsalwar you will need to include thigh, knee, calf, and ankle measurement.
Ankle or Knee: the tailors usually don't need this unless you have a really large knee orankle area (make sure you measure your knee sitting down because it spreads). I usually like a 14"opening at the cuff area (normal opening). This allows the salwar to drape on my shoes correctly and not fall to the floor where I can step on them.
Neckline:all stores provide a clipboard of neck styles to choose from. I like to tellLadies Den andSimply-Divathey can choose because they know what neckline will look best with the outfit. Sometimes, you even end up with extra detailing that is really unique and a lot of extra work. If you are really busty through the chest and back (gepact through the bust and shoulders--if your bust creates a shelf under your chin) let them know this and they will allow extra in thedepth of the neckline.
If you follow the above guidelines, your suits will fit perfectly. I am a business manager, not foreign, and not married tosomeone from another country. Salwar Kameez are beautiful and very professional looking (without the cost) and Iget a lot of gepliments and questions about howand where to order.
GOODLUCK AND GOOD BIDDING!!!
Thanks to Jaswinder, Alka, and Akashfor fantastic customer service!...
